Coming Soon…

UPDATE: NEW PLAYS, NEW BOX OFFICE COMING

Yes, it’s been a while. Our much needed summer break is over and we are busy with creating our new programme for the next 10 months and making big changes to ticketing.

It’s not been all sangria and suncream this summer – it’s been hot tea and anoraks too. And we have been busy reading plays, choosing our next productions and starting rehearsals.

Choosing our 2024 / 2024 Plays

This year has been another challenge in finding plays to fit our few available performers and there is no doubt we must recruit new actors into the group or invite actors to join us for future productions. More of that in a future post.

However, for the coming season, we have found two great productions that we know you will enjoy and we are preparing to announce our full programme very shortly.

Box Office Changes

We announced at the last play that there would be changes to the box office ticketing arrangements following the retirement of Steve Turner from his role. We will be announcing our NEW TICKET SECRETARY and NEW PHONE NUMBER and NEW EMAIL ADDRESS for tickets in our next posts. WATCH THIS SPACE.

ALL THAT SAID, HERE’S A TEASER FOR THE NEXT PLAY….

MORE TO COME…

PUT THOSE DATES IN YOUR CALENDAR AND WE WILL BE BACK SOON WITH MORE INFORMATION ON OUR PRODUCTIONS AND HOW TO BOOK TICKETS.

PHOTOS FROM ‘PERFECT WEDDING’

Almost four weeks have passed since our last production of the season and we’ve just about got our breath back from what was an exhausting show but fantastic show.

Robin Hawdon’s hilarious, fast-paced, frenetic, energetic Perfect Wedding was performed in early May 2024 and proved to be a massive hit with our audiences, many kindly saying it was one of the best, if not the best. That is possibly because we took them on a roller coaster of rapid dialogue, fast moving plot, confusion, door slamming, spot-on timing and hardly a moment to stop laughing.

Yes, we are a small group these days, yes we are (shall we say) ‘not as young as we were’ but we can still give an energetic show that entertains. There is nothing quite like a live performance that communicates with an audience.

If you didn’t make it to this run then you missed a cracking show.

Honeymoon time..

Perfect Wedding by Robin Hawdon.

It’s over. We can relax, get our breath back, slow the pace and recover from a tiring and demanding series of performances and an equally tiring set destruct today (Sunday 19th).

The cast were tired but exhilarated at the success of this production and we can be proud of our delivery of this funny, confusing, energetic and fast paced comedy. The feedback we have received from our audiences every night and online has been amazing, so thank you to all our loyal supporters.

We shall follow up shortly with more feedback and photos from the play but meanwhile here are some other shots we took.

A heavy three days of set building on the hottest days of the year so far!
Making progess
Mark making his mark as first time on sound and lights
Something’s been going on here…
The twin room suite with robust well-used doors
Enjoying a tipple in the pub after a superb opening night
The cast, ready to go on minutes before our final performance

Back soon. Follow us to keep abreast of our updates.
