PARTY PIECE. THE PHOTOS

Four weeks ago we dismantled our complex stage set and auditorium after the final night of the Richard Harris comedy, Party Piece, and gave ourselves a well-earned rest.

With an almost capacity audience we can consider our efforts were a success after a lot of hard work rehearsing, creating props and special effects and indeed, building the complex set.

We had almost twenty people involved directly in the production along with off site help from others, primarily the Brough shedders who manufactured much of our set during the rehearsal period – and all from recovered wood.

Cast from L: Wendy Salter, Lee Kelly, Sally Morland, Rob Newton, Barbara Failey, Gary Vann, Nic Johnson

What Next?

This is our annual summer break and as usual we will be reading through plays and going through the selection process of choosing our productions for November 2026 and May 2027.

How do we do that? Read our blog post from last year about our process for choosing plays – there are more boxes to tick than you might imagine!

What Does Choosing a New Play Involve?

Simply find this panel on the web page and enter your email address, then validate in the email that will arrive shortly after.

Not long now

The Forum hasn’t been so full of people for rehearsals like this for many years, but then this play has a cast of seven and an extensive backstage crew too. If you’re booked to see this comedy then you will get to understand why.

This week we enter our final rehearsals before preparing to take it to the stage – so this Friday will see our tiring but amazing set-build weekend begin as we create the set we have had to imagine for the last few weeks.

As for tickets, we have seats still available on Saturday 16/5 or get on our waiting list for other days.

Refreshments? Yes please.

Yes it’s that time again when we need to shout out for some help. Party Piece is almost upon us (May 14-16). With some sell out nights we will be busy and in need of your help with our popular tea / coffee / juice and biscuits refreshments at the interval! Simply contact Dianne on the number below or via our contact page here.
