No, not us this time but we think you should know that our friends at the Cave Players are presenting a Murder Mystery Evening this September in our usual venue, Elloughton Brough Village Hall.
REMAINS OF MURDER is an entertaining murder mystery where you and your team need to work out whodunnit and possibly win the prize. Bring your own food and drink, enter the raffle and have a great time for just £10 per person.
NOTE: booking for this event is via the number shown below.

Sally Morland’s epic Mime Stars Nights are not strictly Petuaria Players events – but since she always manages to entice (some say con) many of our members (some kicking and screaming, others in oblivious naivety as to what lies ahead) into her shows then we should certainly report it here.
Sally’s first production was two years ago and raised money for the MacMillan and Dove House charities. Remembering our friend Jayne Hewson who passed away almost a year ago, this time the event was to raise funds for the Cardiology Unit that cared for her at Castle Hill Hospital.
Once again the stage was filled with famous stars from the world of music singing their hits (though in the spirit of honesty we must tell you that the stars were simply amazing lookalikes miming). The photos below will take your breath away as you appreciate the remarkable resemblance to the real stars.

Everyone put a lot of time and effort into rehearsing the dance routines, learning the songs and getting the costumes – but not as much as Sally who organised, choreographed, cajoled and created costumes and props as well as being one of the cast so the success of the night is also a tribute to her efforts.

Held at Croft Park, Little Weighton, the whole event raised £1600.
On stage we had Bananarama, St. Trinians, Annie Lennox, Madonna, Tina Turner, The Spice Girls, Abba, Cilla Black, Elton John and Kiki Dee, Lady GaGa and Cliff Richard, George Ezra and The Cheeky Girls interspersed with a selection of Waxing Lyrical monologues from Steve.
Scroll through the gallery below and remember – these are not the real stars, simply stunning resemblances to them. Be.. amazed…
