4 Weeks To Go

Yes, just four weeks to our latest production and rehearsals are ongoing along with preparations for our set building and decor activities.

What’s On?
THE CEMETERY CLUB
a comedy by Ivan Menchell

When?
13th, 14th, 15th November

What’s it about?
Three widows in Forest Hill’s New York meet once a month to play canasta, have a drink and to visit the cemetery to pay their respects to their departed husbands. For some, it’s time to consider moving on, for others not so much.

But their routine is to be disrupted by a chance meeting with Sam the butcher who happens to be visiting his own dear departed.

This is a warm and funny play with some witty one-liners and it was a popular hit with our audiences back in 2011 when we first performed it.

So, here’s another chance to either enjoy it once again or come along and see it for the first time.

First performed on Broadway in the 1990s it remains timeless as a comedy about life and moving on.

Directed by Richard Bateman and performed by Dianne Turner (Ida) Janet Drewery (Lucille), Sue Allan (Doris), Janet Lamb (Mildred) and Steve Howland (Sam).
