THE CEMETERY CLUB by IVAN MENCHELL

The first play of our 2025 / 2026 season was one we had performed previously in 2011. A heartwarming and funny play based in the Forest Hills area of New York.

Three Jewish widows in Forest Hills, New York meet once a month to play canasta, have a drink and to visit the cemetery to pay their respects to their departed husbands. For some, it’s time to consider moving on, for others not so much. But their routine is to be disrupted by a chance meeting with Sam the butcher who happens to be visiting his own dear departed.
