This week, the BBC Breakfast programme showed an excellent ten minute feature about the state of amdram in the UK. It showed perfectly the issues that surround amateur drama groups nationally and the struggles that such groups have in dwindling membership, specifically for actors and even more specifically for casting male roles in plays and going on to show the benefits of being involved in such groups.
It was timely as it coincided with the start of our own campaign to promote ourselves as we too need to encourage people to ‘have a go’.
Our leaflet (see below) will appear shortly around the area and it shows everything you need to know about getting in touch and finding out more.
We are planning to have an ‘open night’ in March where we invite people to come along and meet us – why not get in touch to find the date and register your name?

We will be posting more on this subject in the coming weeks and also about our latest production in May. Watch this space!
